Masonry restoration by Red Seal masons

Masonry is the part of the building envelope that gets ignored until it is the most expensive thing on the reserve fund. Failed mortar lets water in, water corrodes steel lintels and shelf angles, corroded steel cracks and displaces the brick above it. By the time it is visible from the parking lot it is structural.

What we do

• Cut-out and repointing with mortar matched to the original for strength and colour
• Brick, block and stone replacement, including matching discontinued units
• Lintel and shelf angle replacement with temporary shoring
• Parapet rebuilds, coping replacement and through-wall flashing
• Crack stitching, helical ties and wall tie remediation
• Storefront and canopy masonry repairs between tenancies

Why the ticket matters

Our masons hold Red Seal certification, the interprovincial standard for the trade. That is not common on commercial restoration crews, and it shows in mortar that matches, joints that are tooled correctly and repairs that do not have to be redone in five years.

We access work by scaffold, mast climber and boom lift, and are comfortable working from engineer-specified scopes and condition assessments.
